Interventions based on evidence and the challenges of autism

Together with Autism, Right to Life and the Defectology society of Serbia we are organising a conference about implementation of special education programmes designed for persons on the autism spectrum using the ABA method, that will take place on 18 June. ABA method is widely used in the UK, both in schools and at home.

Dr Neal Martin, a guest lecturer from the UK will showcase the results of behavioural interventions in cases of autism, with the accent being on the needed training and licencing. He will also talk about various components of this method, from defining teaching goals, through simulation and encouragement to measuring the results.

During her lecture, Susan Mordey will talk about British Council’s approach to special education needs. This will also be the first conference that will gather both the experts from neighbouring countries (Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the parents that face the challenges of autism on daily basis.

Applications for this conference are closed.
