For the fifth year in a row, the conference and fair "New Technologies in Education 2018"  brought together some of the best teachers in the field of using ICT in their classrooms, making this event better year after year.

Over the past years, we had the opportunity to meet over 200 speakers from the Western Balkans, UK and other countries who shared their experiences in the use of educational technologies through lectures, panel discussions and workshops. We firmly believe that this year's program will be the highest quality so far.

BIOGRAPHY OF MAIN SPEAKER

Nataša is part of "New technologies in education" from the second beginning, she was a speaker, she held three workshops with a Bibot robot and a participation in a panel discussion. She is the eTwinning ambassador in Serbia. She is working on digital technology in pre-school institutions since 2002/2003. She is constantly learning and researching this topic and always sharing her knowledge with colleagues.

Computer thinking in kindergarten, Erasmus+ project

The development of computer thinking in an early age of a child can significantly determine the process of learning and it can create a good foundation for preparing children for the life that lies ahead. The goal of this presentation is familiarising with some basic elements of computer thinking, through games and activities which we have met during Erasmus+ course “How to teach coding in school education” in Germany.

BIOGRAPHY

Nebojša Ratković is a graduated International politics. He has been working in the non-governmental sector since 2010, mostly on projects related to youth education. He started working in Wikimedia in August 2016 as an educational program manager where he works on promoting new technologies in high school and higher education institutions, with a focus on Wikipedia.

Educational potential of Wikipedia

The presentation is about Wikipedia as means of learning in faculty classrooms. It will focus on its educational potential in Serbia, in the context of traditional education, which is under the increasing influence of ICT. It will present its practical application in teaching, and it will show how Wikipedia as a tool has means to improve students' skills, to adopt educational goals and to enhance cooperation on a student-teacher relationship.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MAIN SPEAKER

Graduated from the Technical Faculty in Čačak. The author of textbook sets for Technical and Informatics Education for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade in the edition of the publishing house "Klett". During the 2018, received the title of pedagogical advisor. Participated in The Digital Class (the work is located in the electronic journal of works). Coordinated the work of the team that participated in the national tournament in FLL (First LEGO Legue).

Virtual adventure

In the introductory part of the activity students enter the virtual adventure, in 3D projections. They look at different geographical locations. They are tasked to discover, with the help of a variety of teaching aids and the Internet, the location of the site and to find as much information about it as possible. The task also means that the location is recorded on the interactive map.

BIOGRAPHY

Nermina Usejnovski, prof. B / H / S language and literature in primary school. I like innovation in teaching, especially new technologies, in 2016. in very difficult conditions, I worked with SOLE method students, and in this school year I introduced innovation in teaching literature and showed how new technologies can be used in the teaching of literature, in this case, Google Earth in the teaching of literature.

Correlation of teaching content is special and necessary because students give the opportunity to use the knowledge from one subject to understand the teaching units from other subjects, and when the teaching of literature is concerned, then the possibilities are really wide. The correlation between literature and geography is not uncommon, but when Google Earth interacts with it, it can be truly magical.

 

Nevena Peric

Nevena Perić

BIOGRAPHY

A teacher and a pedagogue with 24 years of experience, specialised in educational technologies and an MA of educational policies. I was a participant in different projects who had an aim to improve the quality of education and to introduce IT in education. I am an author and a realizator of numerous accredited seminars, tribunes, expert papers, researches and projects in the field of education.

Find, use, create, share

Playful activities of students with the use of digital applications in a museum ambient, which hides all kinds of information, have secured an active participation in the process of learning and developing digital capability. Students task was to find an information, creatively use it and pass it on. We received the feedback about acquired knowledge through the game again.

BIOGRAPHY

Nevenka Spalević works on the popularisation of computer literacy and algorithmic way of thinking for more than thirty years. She is a dedicated professor of programming, she was a contributor to several magazines, radio and TV series dedicated to the popularization of computers and mathematics. She is the author of the online course, book and textbook "From Toys to Computer" for the first grade of elementary school.

Algorithmic way of thinking as a new quality in the education of students

The presentation deals with the notion of algorithmic thinking and abilities that students develop when used. Their advantages are expressed in easier, faster and more efficient learning, better training in (high-tech) everyday life and opportunities for getting better paid jobs. Developing the algorithmic thinking method is continued and using appropriate learning methods for programming.

How e-safe we are?

The e-safety of young people has become a significant concern for parents, educators and policy makers. Because access to the digital environment is often from the safety of your own home many young people and adults are not aware of the dangers. Internet is not a private place. It is easy for people to pretend they are someone they are not. The presenters will shed some light on this hot issue.

Ogerta Stroka and Etleva Koni

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MAIN SPEAKER

Ogerta is a Phd student at the Hellenic American University of Athens. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of the Foreign Languages in Tirana. Ogerta has been teaching for 12 years seminars of "Teaching skills" to student-teachers of Master degree program, lectures on "How to integrate new technologies in teaching". She is a National Trainers and a Regional Trainer for British Council for Core Skills modules.

PRESENTATION

Integrating pbwikis in ICT classes-a case study

The presenters run a blended learning technology course at the Faculty of the Foreign Languages. Course materials, assignments, discussions and feedback are hosted in a pbwiki platform. They are going to provide helpful tips on the integration of online platforms but not only. They are going to share their and their students' experience with wikis and their daily routines with tech devices.

Olivera Eric

Olivera Erić

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1974 in Belgrade. Graduated History of Art at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. M.Sc. in the field of Theory of Arts and Media at the University of Arts in Belgrade. She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade in 2011 with the topic: "Presentation of women in digital media in Serbia at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century: questions of contemporary feminist theories of interpretation".

Digital presentation of artistic heritage of Faculty of Fine Arts

At the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade the process of digitizing artistic heritage is being implemented and so far the work has been presented through exhibitions, sites and social networks. It was noted that video work, created from a digitized artistic heritage and broadcasted with the help of digitally created music, is a very suitable form for promoting this kind of content.

Predrag Stolic

Predrag Stolić

BIOGRAPHY

He was born in the town of Bor in 1980. He completed his studies at the Department for Industrial Informatics on the Technical faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade. Currently he is a student of doctors studies at the Electrotechnical and computer engineering on the Faculty of Technical sciences in Čačak, University of Kragujevac. His area of interest is Big Data and Data Science. Married, father of a child.

OPEN DATASETS- The potential for developing competition

Today’s knowledge is more reliable because of a huge presence of data which is used in a synthesis of knowledge. In most cases, this is a closed type of data with a lot of restrictions that follow it. With the usage of open data (publicly available data) the whole society’s awareness is brought to another level and in education it enables a better preparation for future personnel to handle digital challenges.
