Different Memories, Shared Futures: Towards Inclusive Memorialisation supports locally rooted initiatives that explore how societies across the Western Balkans remember the conflicts of the 1990s and their lasting impact.
The project focuses on inclusive approaches to memorialisation, creating space for stories, experiences and perspectives that are often left out of dominant public narratives.
Through culture, education, research and dialogue, supported activities encourage reflection on the past, strengthen regional exchange and contribute to more inclusive, democratic and resilient societies.
These activities bring together artists, educators, researchers, civil society organisations and young people from across the region to explore how memory work can support understanding, empathy and cooperation.
